INTRODUCTION

At Women’s Wellness with Liezel, we are passionate about wellness and health. That is why we are very excited to introduce you to Holistic Core Restore ®, the evolution of Pelvic Floor and Core Fitness. The programmes and methodologies were designed to TRANSFORM THE HEALTH of women who are ready to take control of their health and wellness.

The programme and subsequent methodologies were designed by Jenny Burrell, of Burrell Education. After an abdominal hysterectomy in 2011, Jenny found the need for a more holistic view and approach to recovery and subsequent health. She was not prepared to subscribe to the notion that she will struggle with her health for the foreseeable future.

Holistic Core Restore® Programmes

There truly is a programme for EVERY WOMAN at EVERY LIFE PHASE. If you are a woman in need of guidance and support regarding health and wellness……you’re in the right place. After Jenny’s struggle with her recovery after her abdominal hysterectomy, she used her vast experience in women’s health and wellness and designed the EveryWoman Programme. This was the foundation course for the other 14 programmes that followed.

These programmes cover not only pelvic floor and core fitness classes but have a holistic focus on health & wellness. It therefore also has a strong focus on nutrition and self-care, acknowledging the individuality of every woman.

There are currently 15 programmes, with the Holistic Core Restore ® EveryWoman programme as the foundation.

The Programmes has Thomas Myer’s Myofascial Meridians as their guiding principle when it comes to integrating the core with the rest of the body. The focus is on incorporating your breathing and adding the functional movement of your daily life. All this to get your pelvic floor and core to reconnect to the rest of your body. Just like it was originally.

The magic happens when women are able to become more mindful, educated and working with their bodies again.

Why Holistic Core Restore ® works

The most amazing part of this programme is that it is never too late to start. Whether you are training, pregnant, need to be more Zen or recovering from a C-section, hysterectomy or another pelvic floor dysfunction.

These programmes are great for women who have experienced some degree of pelvic dysfunction and want to get back to their former selves. Empowering themselves through education and consistent action in a sustainable way. However, you can also experience great preventative benefits from these programmes at any stage of your life.

All the programmes are for women who understand that their nutrition also has a key role in their Pelvic Health and are ready to make the changes that support health and wellness.

For so many women, it really seems to be a case of pelvic disconnection and a lack of coordination rather than dysfunction.

You’ll be performing functional movements such as squats, lunges, pulling and pushing movements, rotating, bending over and balancing in all the movement programmes. This is because your body loves synergistic movement.

Our EveryWoman Holistic Core Restore® Programme

The EveryWoman Holistic Core Restore® Programme, the foundation programme, is a 60 minute ‘small group’ class or 1-1 sessions that has 4 key components. This is currently the only

  1. Release – a dynamic warm-up
  2. Main Workout – a series of progressed functional movements all designed to stimulate your pelvic floor. Subsequently always working with the breath to really magnify your connection.
  3. Downtrain – a relaxing and re-mobilising end to the movement part.
  4. Community/Education/Time-to-Talk OR simple Guided Meditation OR talk on a key aspect of the programme such as nutrition

These classes can be done through Zoom in the comfort of your own home. Alternatively you might prefer a 1-2-1 class as this is another great option. See below for some of the great options available.
